Overview and Benefits

SourceCoder analyzes and profiles Delphi source code, giving developers quantitative code measurements and enabling them to quickly pinpoint problematic areas. SourceCoder analyzes Object Pascal files and computes metrics for source code line counts, calculates documentation percentages, and provides complexity measurements. It checks the scope of variables and points out ambiguities.
SourceCoder also assists in finding problems in running applications. To do this, it first "instruments" the source code on any of three levels: procedure level, branch level, or individual statement level. When the application runs, SourceCoder measures execution time and provides further analysis designed to minimize the time developers need to spend to track down problems. When testing is complete, it "de-instruments" the source code.
SourceCoder is able to instrument on all three levels because includes a complete Pascal parser. By default, it uses the branch level, which provides optimal coverage analysis. The individual statement level instrumentation is intended for developers who want to measure the exact execution time of a single statement such as a query execution.
SourceCoder is a flexible Code-Formatter, Profiler, Chart Generator, Documentation tool (comments) and Bug-Tracking system. It generates all kinds of reports about your Delphi Project and helps you to stay on top of your project at any time.
